A new email blast titled “More Data. Lower Price” touts Starlink’s Aviation 300MPH plan, which SpaceX introduced in March for $250 per month alongside a $1,000 Aviation 450MPH plan. The Aviator College of Aeronautical Science & Technology flight school in Fort Pierce, Fla., permanently closed April 15, leading to dozens of layoffs. The college operated at Treasure Coast International Airport. Reports said the campus was in the midst of appealing its accreditation loss. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has signed Senate Bill 422, which prohibits airports from using information derived from automatic dependent surveillance broadcast (ADS-B) systems emitted from certain aircraft as a means of collecting fees from owners. This rule is limited to aircraft with a gross weight of 12,499 pounds or less operating under FAA rules, and applies to fees charged for departures, landings (including touch-and-go), and for simply entering the airport’s airspace.
