As we reach the end of 2025, it’s time for the team to look back on the year that was. 2025 was another exciting year for the Simple Flying team, with new features launched on the website, plenty of exciting events, and lots of aviation news to report. Did you see the sneak peek of the aircraft seat maps that we’re working to build?

As every year, there were plenty of major aviation news stories throughout the year. Unfortunately, the most notable stories this year were tied to aviation safety, with a series of high-profile aviation accidents, including , the Air India accident, and, more recently, the UPS MD-11 crash. Of course, our thoughts go out to all those lost in aviation accidents throughout the year.

In more positive news, we also saw some major milestones throughout the course of the year. Global Airlines operated a couple of Airbus A380 flightsto the United States, and Condor said goodbye to the 757 in style. Meanwhile, American Airlines took delivery of its 1st Airbus A321XLR, and easyJet turned 30.

On behalf of the entire Simple Flying team, we would like to wish you a happy holiday season, however you choose to celebrate it. 2026 seems set to be another exciting year of aviation news, and the Simple Flying team will continue to report on the latest from the world of aviation for our readers.
