Boeing has brought an end to the speculation regarding its potential presence at or absence from the 2025 Dubai Airshow by announcing a diverse lineup of aircraft that it plans to send to the event. This features both military and commercial designs, with the highlight being a 777X flying display.
While any 
Boeing aircraft at a major airshow are always likely to draw headlines, today’s announcement resonates on a higher level given its absence from several other large-scale events in recent years. As such, the information that the US planemaker has shared with the world today marks a strong and interesting step in the right direction, with Boeing also hoping to use the event to highlight its partnerships in the Middle East.
Boeing Has Confirmed Its 2025 Dubai Airshow Lineup
Boeing confirmed in a statement released earlier today that it will indeed be sending a collection of its military and commercial aircraft to the UAE later this month for the 
Dubai Airshow 2025. Arguably the most notable of these is the 777-9, the larger of the two passenger variants from the 777X family. This aircraft has garnered plenty of orders from customers in the Middle East, and it will perform at the airshow as part of the flying display.
Older 777s will also be present in the form of an Aquiline 777-200ER and an Emirates 777-300ER, with the former operator also displaying a 747-400 freighter. On the smaller side of things, the 737-800 will be on display with Aloula and SolitAir, while Action Aviation and Royal Jet will show off their 737 Business Jets. As for the 737 MAX 8, representation comes from flydubai and SCAT. Brendan Nelson, the President of Boeing Global, said:
“Our success reflects the vision and ambition of our partners, from national carriers expanding their fleets to defense customers advancing regional security and innovation. The Dubai Airshow is an opportunity to celebrate these achievements.”
Back In The Game
Boeing’s upcoming presence in Dubai is notable for the fact that it represents the first time since the 2023 Dubai Airshow that its aircraft will have performed in the flying display at a major aviation event. As detailed in the video below, its 737 MAX and 777X test aircraft were absent from the Farnborough International Airshow in 2024, and, while Boeing did send a Qatar Airways 787-9 and an RAF P-8 Poseidon, these were on static display.
More recently, the 2025 Paris Air Show in June of 2025 was overshadowed by the crash of Air India flight AI171 earlier in the month, which cast a somber mood over the spectacle. Given that the disaster involved a Boeing aircraft, namely a 787, Boeing’s leadership opted to cancel its attendance at the event in order to support the investigation into the crash. Now, however, the US planemaker is back on the scene, and raring to go.
As well as wowing attendees with its flying and static displays, Boeing is also hoping to be able to use the event as a means of highlighting its various partnerships in the Middle East. To this end, Nelson said that it will “reaffirm our commitment to national visions, and look ahead to the next era of aerospace growth.”
Boeing’s Defense Division Will Also Be Represented In Dubai
Away from the commercial side of things, Boeing also has an impressive military lineup planned for the show. Most notably, as pictured above, one of its legendary B-52 bombers from the USAF will take part in the flying display. Another Boeing military jet taking to the skies in Dubai will be the P-8 Poseidon.
At the static end of the display spectrum, Boeing will be sending fighter jets, transport aircraft, and helicopters in order to demonstrate its military prowess. On this front, among the aircraft expected to be present are the F-15 Eagle, C-17 Globemaster, CH-47 Chinook, KC-46 Pegasus, and AH-64 Apache.
