The US will have 576 daily international long-haul scheduled passenger departures in November. Of these, narrowbody aircraft of all types will operate 30. Of these, the Boeing 737 MAX will operate seven. These findings are from examining schedules using OAG data.
One in every 83 daily international long-haul services will be on the MAX, with both the MAX 8 and the MAX 9 used in such roles. Unsurprisingly, Copa Airlines, Gol, and Icelandair are particularly significant in this sense, with United having more of a role in the summer, particularly from the East Coast.
The US’s 10 Longest MAX Flights In November
With a maximum block time (chocks-off-to-chocks-on) of 8h 20m, Icelandair from Keflavik to
Orlando ranks first. It covers 3,071 nautical miles (5,687 km) each way. The airline’s brand-new Miami link, which is timed at up to 8h 40m, is not present because it will deploy the A321LR. None of the 10 entries involves time-traveling.
The entries are timed at 7h 24m to 8h 20m. As is usual with such examinations, multiple other entries were just shy of inclusion. Some were minutes out. For example, there’s WestJet from Calgary to Kahului (7h 23m), Icelandair to Nashville (7h 20m; this route began in April), and Copa to Los Angeles (7h 20m).

Copa To San Francisco
The Panamanian airline has served the long route from its so-called ‘Hub of the Americas’ to San Francisco for a decade. While flights are now daily, OAG data shows that there were three daily services in 2018 and early 2019. Partner United joined the fray in May 2025. When it did so, it was, of course, the first time the market had two operators.
Let’s concentrate on Copa. Looking at its entire network in November shows that its San Francisco service is its longest link by time. It surpasses number two, Montevideo, by 20 minutes. However, its route to Northern California is second for distance, behind Panama City to the Uruguayan capital.
Operated daily, CM382 leaves Central America at 18:27 and gets to San Francisco at 23:17 local time (7h 50m). Returning, CM383 departs at 00:36 and returns at 10:46 local time. As always, this is for connectivity reasons. In the 12 months to July 2025, the US Department of Transportation data shows it carried 153,000 round-trip passengers (90% seat load factor). About seven in ten passengers transferred to another flight in Panama City, with Lima being the most popular destination.
Alaska Airlines’ Sole Entry In The Top 10 In November
Alaska inaugurated flights from Seattle to Liberia on December 20, 2024. The leisure route to the gateway to Costa Rica’s beaches and other natural splendors launched just in time for Christmas. It was the first time the market had been served. Seattle departures existed through May 10, 2025, with service resuming on November 22, 2025, hence its inclusion in the table.
You will notice that the block time is up to 7h 51m in November. However, from March 22 until May 10, that’ll change to a whopping 9h 3m, with this reflected on Alaska Airlines’ website, other booking places, in schedules, etc. As this was notably longer than at any point in 2025, it is likely to be a scheduling or timezone error.
