This Airline Has The World’s Best Business Class Lounge In 2025

Qatar Airways Al Mourjan Business Lounge – The Garden at Doha Hamad International Airport, in Doha was always going to turn heads and look nothing short of spectacular. This lounge for premium guests covers a huge 79,500 square feet and is described by the airline as a sanctuary with stylish decor. The modern design is flooded with natural light and looks down upon the tropical gardens and water features of The Orchard.

Some would say that this area in the northern expansion of the airport could be inspired by The Jewel at Singapore Changi Airport. The Orchard is a lush rainforest-filled atrium only accessible to airside passengers. There are, in fact, two Al Mourjan – The Garden Lounges at the airport, but this guide is focusing on the north lounge, which overlooks The Orchard. It won the World’s Best Business Class Lounge at the SKYTRAX World Airline Awards 2025.

The Orchard and Al Mourjan – The Garden are immersive experiences and are designed to be a place for passengers to rest and recharge between flights. The Lounge has access for 707 passengers, and there are plenty of surrounding luxury retailers and restaurants to keep you busy. Surprising additions to the lounge are quiet rooms and spa treatment rooms as well as a fitness studio and swimming pool.

The lounge itself has plenty of seating areas in different styles to encourage relaxation or work as you choose, some overlook The Orchard. The Garden has gourmet dining options and offers a menu of modern and traditional cuisine. There are also options for fresh coffee and pâtisserie, deli-style options, buffet or à la carte dining. The lounge offers a bistro bar and cocktail bar as well as drink stations.

Al Mourjan The Garden is a sophisticated, comfortable area surrounded by wellness and nature. It is open 24/7 and available to Qatar Airways Business Class (not Business Class Lite) and First Class passengers, and oneworld Business and First Class passengers. There is also paid access available for Qatar Airways Business Class Lite or Economy Class passengers.

There are no shortage of lounges at Hamad International Airport, so this one had to be completely unique. It is built around The Orchard, with its greenery and tropical feel, water features, and three geometric glass funnels connected by a treetop walkway. The lounge is in an ‘L’ shape and overlooks The Orchard. The Al Mourjan – The Garden has two lounges, North and South. The South lounge is more central, near to the airport’s famous teddy bear, and the two lounges complement one another.

The North Lounge is about a ten-minute walk or one stop on the shuttle train. It is quite hidden away and accessed via two lifts, near the Louis Vuitton Lounge. This lounge is often quieter as it is further away. Qatar Airways has flights at all times of day and night and a huge number depart and arrive at a similar time. This is due to maximum aircraft utilization and minimizes travel time for passengers. Therefore, this lounge can be almost empty or incredibly busy. Peak times are between 17:30 and 19:30, 23:00 and 01.00 and 05:30 and 07:30 according to One Mile At A Time.

In a review of Al Mourjan – The Garden at One Mile At A Time, Ben Schlappig said: “Qatar Airways’ newest lounge is spectacular – its spacious, overlooks the most beautiful part of the terminal, and has lots of amenities. This lounge is worth going out of your way to visit.” Another review at Head for Points describes the lounge: “It’s hard to convey the scale of the Al Mourjan Business Lounge The Garden” and that “With views of The Orchard, it’s definitely worth popping into The Garden Lounge.”

The North lounge can be found one level above the concourse. There is plenty of natural light and the high ceilings create a sense of spaciousness. The colors of the lounges stick with a gray and maroon palette, with beige and brown. Wood panels create a sense of warmth, and cut-out panels in Arabic styling and low-lit lamps create an opulent feeling. The leather chairs and sofas are large and comfortable with curved edges. Plants and crystal chandeliers feature sporadically, as do natural sculptures.

Some seating areas look directly over The Orchard. On the right side of the lounge, the seats are more for resting or grabbing a bite to eat. There is a bar with high-top seats, and there are communal tables and dining tables. Further back, there are more dining tables and seats for lounging, another bar, and booths with tables and chairs. On the left side of the lounge, there is a central water feature with cozy seating next to it. There are different styles of seating for work or leisure, and for those traveling alone or in a group.

The lounge has private booths available for resting in more privacy, and most seats have charging ports or wireless charging. There is also a bar with a wide choice of beverages and snacks and a small buffet area. Further along is the main buffet area, with even more options to eat and drink and places to relax and unwind. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the lounge.

The buffet and à la carte menu feature international dishes and a fine selection of beverages. A breakfast menu is offered between 05:00 and 10:30, buffet or à la carte. Lunch and dinner are served between 11:00 and 04:00. A sample menu shows dishes such as:

There is perhaps no surprise that Al Mourjan – The Garden would become an award-winning lounge at the SKYTRAX World Airline Awards, this year. The Garden and The Orchard, reminiscent of Singapore’s The Jewel, offer an incredibly spacious and attractive area for passengers to relax between flights and has excellent additional facilities to normal airport lounges. It is popular for its views to The Orchard, its relaxing spaces and unique amenities.
