Qatar Airways’ launch of
Qatar Airways & American’s 124 Weekly US/Canada Flights In July 2026
The pair’s planned operations next July are summarized below. Some 14 routes will be available, with the Airbus A350-1000 playing an important role. Fellow
Compared to the record held in 2024, Qatar Airways’ JFK flights have fallen from three daily to 18 weekly, while
Toronto is the only addition. It materialized due to the slight loosening of the UAE-Canada bilateral air service agreement. Not only is it Canada’s largest and most important market, but Emirates and Air Canada collectively have two daily Toronto-Dubai flights, and Etihad now serves Toronto daily aboard the Airbus A380. Qatar Airways couldn’t be seen with a sub-daily offering.

How The Pair’s North American Flights Are Scheduled
The figure above shows how Qatar Airways and American’s US/Canada flights are coordinated in a week next July. There is one large wave, which consists of a big early morning departure bank, with those flights arriving back in the late afternoon/early evening the following day.
Thirteen North America-bound departures are scheduled to depart from

As you’d expect, the other, significantly smaller departure/arrival times generally relate to routes with more than a daily service. The exception is American’s Philly offering. Services leave Doha at 01:50, which is during the much smaller, second-largest departure bank. Strangely, this means no Indian flights connect with a competitive schedule.
A Brief Look At Qatar Airways To Atlanta
Qatar Airways has had passenger flights to Atlanta, which is the world’s busiest airport by passenger volume but not aircraft movements, since June 2016. To capture more attention, the A380 was used on the first round-trip service, with the 777-200LR, 777-300ER, A350-900, and A350-1000 deployed since then.
US Department of Transportation data for July 2024 to June 2025 indicates that Qatar Airways carried 219,000 round-trip Atlanta passengers. It filled a hefty 92% of the available seats, with monthly results varying from 90% to 94%. Obviously, it performs very strongly in this sense, but fare data and other factors should also be considered.
Booking data shows that approximately 160,000 passengers (73%) connected to another flight in Doha. The ten most popular cities were Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Ho Chi Minh City, Delhi, Dubai, Bangkok, and Kochi. Etihad, which made its Atlanta debut in July 2025, will also be targeting many of these places.
