Japan Airlines (JAL) is launching a specially-themed aircraft to celebrate Tokyo DisneySea’s 25th anniversary, with its domestic flights set to commence on June 4, 2026.
The ‘JAL Jubilee Express’, a Boeing 737-800, features a custom livery designed around the theme park’s anniversary event, ‘Tokyo DisneySea 25th Sparkling Jubilee’.
The aircraft will operate on domestic routes across Japan through April 2027.
JAL and Oriental Land Co., the operator of Tokyo Disney Resort, made the joint announcement on April 16, 2026.
A partnership dating back to 1983
JAL has been an official sponsor of Tokyo Disney Resort since Tokyo Disneyland first opened in 1983.
The two companies collaborated on their first special aircraft livery in 2001, the same year as the opening of Tokyo DisneySea. The JAL Jubilee Express marks their seventh joint aircraft project.
Tokyo DisneySea will officially turn 25 on September 4, 2026, though anniversary celebrations at the park are already underway and will continue through March 31, 2027.

The aircraft’s exterior has been painted in ‘Jubilee Blue’, the signature color of the anniversary celebration, inspired by the ocean theme that defines Tokyo DisneySea. The design includes Mickey Mouse and other Disney characters in special anniversary outfits, along with images of the park’s iconic AquaSphere and Mount Prometheus.
The themed experience continues inside the cabin. Passengers will find special headrest covers and paper cups featuring anniversary designs. Three different cup designs will be available, though passengers cannot choose which one they receive.

Those flying on the JAL Jubilee Express will also be given a commemorative boarding certificate sticker, available in three designs and distributed randomly, one per passenger per flight. Both the cups and stickers will only remain available while supplies last.
