The 2026 edition of EBACE, Europe’s leading executive aviation airshow, which was due to take place in Geneva, Switzerland, on June 2-4, 2026, has been cancelled.
The European Business Aviation Association (EBAA), which organizes this industry tradeshow on an annual basis, announced the decision in an email sent on April 10, 2026.
EBACE had traditionally been regarded as the top professional event in the executive jet industry in Europe and, on a global level, second only to the NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition, which takes place every year in the United States.
However, the future of the show had increasingly been in question, as the most recent editions had registered an apparent decline in attendance. The high costs of exhibiting in Geneva, coupled with an unsatisfactory return on investment, are often mentioned in industry circles as factors contributing to this situation.
This became apparent in the 2024 edition of EBACE, which several major industry players, including executive jet manufacturers such as Bombardier and Gulfstream Aerospace, decided to skip.
What’s more, a rival exhibition, AERO Friedrichshafen, which takes place annually in the southern German city of the same name, has been managing to capture an increasing degree of the activity that had typically been under the remit of EBACE.
EBACE’s organizers reacted by launching an initiative to reshape the show with what they defined as “renewed focus on the event’s B2B value, stronger emphasis on networking opportunities”. They were also planning to bring back the static aircraft display for the 2026 edition.
These efforts, though, seem to have been insufficient to convince the industry, and the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) has decided to pull the plug, at least temporarily. In a public statement announcing the EBACE cancellation, the association has declared that it will now re-focus its efforts on its core mission of representing the industry’s interests through other platforms and channels.
The statement did not clarify whether there are any plans to relaunch EBACE from 2027 onwards.
