Personal Note
June 4, 2026: Geoffrey Thomas, a career aviation journalist, died in his city of Perth, Australia. He was 74.
Geoff was a great aviation journalist and a stand-up guy. He was one of a dying breed of dedicated aviation journalists and someone who didn’t drink the Kool-Aid served by any company he covered.
We lived on different continents, but I always considered him a friend and certainly a colleague. The aviation community has lost a good person.
