Airborne 04.23.26: U2 Pilot Job… Really, Top Gun 3!, AirVenture Cup Race

Also, will operate models of test aircraft during engineering flight tests, production acceptance, and flight-test support through specifically prescribed tests and maneuvers… Paramount Pictures has finally confirmed that Top Gun 3 is in development, with a script apparently well underway and Tom Cruise ready to step back into his role as Pete “Maverick” Mitchell. The official announcement was delivered at CinemaCon by Paramount leadership. It follows the massive success of Top Gun: Maverick, which pulled in $1.49 billion globally, won the Academy Award for Best Sound, and became Cruise’s highest-grossing film. The beloved unofficial kickoff to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh is returning for the 28th time, with the AirVenture Cup Cross-Country Air Race set for takeoff on July 19. The expected route will fly pilots in a more than 400-mile cross-country loop starting in Wausau, Wisconsin, and ending just north of it in Merrill.
