This comes just days after Transport Canada’s own emergency order called out issues with a hinge assembly found in a post-flight inspection. The directive applies to Model 505 serial numbers 65011 and greater equipped with aft movable ballast box assemblies P/N SLS-706-201-207 or -207FM. Sikorsky is preparing to begin production of the S-92A+. The first batch, destined for a head-of-state transport customer, formally shifts the S-92 line into its next configuration standard. A 14th nation ordered the first two aircraft for government transport. Sikorsky will assemble those along with three additional S-92A+ units as part of the initial production cycle. The Wichita Pull-A-Plane event has been rescheduled to Sunday, April 19, 2026, to raise funds for WSU Tech student initiatives and B-29 Doc operations and sustainment. Doc is an airworthy World War II B-29 Superfortress. The event showcases teams of 25 people competing to pull the plane the fastest across 25 feet of concrete.
