Air Astana begins flights from new Terminal 3 at Frankfurt, adds daily service

Air Astana has moved its operations at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) to the newly opened Terminal 3, with flights now departing from the modern facility as of May 5, 2026.

The airline announced on May 12, 2026 that its check-in counters, self-service kiosks, and baggage drop-off points are now located in Zone 34 of the new terminal.

Business Class passengers and Nomad Club Gold and Diamond members have access to the Priority Lounge on the fifth floor, located beyond passport control.

More flights this summer

Air Astana has also increased frequencies to Frankfurt as part of its summer schedule.

Flights from Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport (NQZ) in Astana now operate daily, up from previous frequencies. Services from Almaty International Airport (ALA) run three times a week on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The airline also continues its weekly service from Oral Ak Zhol Airport (URA) in Uralsk.

A smoother airport experience

Terminal 3 is Frankfurt Airport’s newest facility, designed with self-service technology throughout. Passengers are encouraged to use the self-service check-in kiosks and baggage drop-off points for a faster experience at the airport.

The move positions Air Astana within one of the most modern terminal environments in Europe as it expands its presence on the Kazakhstan-Germany route.
