AAR launches AI-driven procurement platform linking airlines to 5,000 suppliers

AAR has launched an AI-driven procurement platform for airlines and MROs that gives users direct access to Aeroxchange’s network of more than 5,000 suppliers, as the company pushes deeper into aviation software and supply chain tools.

The new platform, called Airvoyant, is designed to automate a parts-buying process that still relies heavily on email requests, manual quote comparisons and fragmented supplier systems.

AAR said Airvoyant lets buyers search inventory, request and consolidate quotes, and move to a one-click purchasing decision inside a single system. The company said the platform is built on Amazon Web Services and integrates with Trax and other ERP systems already used by airlines and maintenance providers.

By tying directly into Aeroxchange, AAR said Airvoyant opens a large supplier base to airline and MRO customers rather than forcing them to build a new vendor network from scratch. Aeroxchange describes its platform as a digital network connecting airlines, MROs, OEMs and suppliers across the aviation aftermarket.

AAR said Airvoyant uses an “AI agent workforce” to review inbound supplier quotes and generate purchasing recommendations based on prior transactions, pricing history and supplier performance.

The company is also positioning the software for broader use later this year, with additional agents planned for demand consolidation, vendor optimization and automated negotiation.

Several carriers are already involved. Delta Air Lines and Air Canada are working with AAR as subject matter experts, while Air Europa, Allegiant, Atlas Air, JetBlue, Thai Airways and Virgin Atlantic are serving as launch partners and advisors, according to the company.

AAR Chief Executive John Holmes called Airvoyant the first scalable platform to bring agentic AI to airline and MRO procurement.

“Airvoyant represents the first scalable solution to deliver agentic AI to airlines and MROs,” Holmes said. “These AI tools will reshape how customers source and procure parts, plan maintenance and optimize operations.”
